Scary Mercury Poisoning Story

The best explanation of what dental cleanse is and why it’s important is by presenting you with a real story about Marie Flowers featured on Mercury Poisoned web site.

In July of 2001, while on a vacation the side of Marie’s tooth broke off. She went to a local dentist and put a patch on her tooth to last until she returned home. Immediately after local dentist’s assistant patched the tooth, Marie started tasting metal in her mouth.

Back home, she saw her regular dentist. He drilled, and drilled, and drilled into the “silver” filling in order to resize the tooth for its new crown. As many of us, Marie didn’t know that this “silver” filling contained 50% mercury, and she didn’t know that mercury vapors were released when a dentist drills into it. Neither did she know that when you breathe these vapors that the vapors can enter your brain. The dentist did not use any respiratory device or dental dam1 to protect her from the mercury vapors. (Your dentist probably doesn’t protect you either.) Her dentist put on the temporary crown and she went home.

A few days later, Marie felt like something moved inside her brain. It did not hurt. It just felt like something was up on the left side tumbling around and sort of tickling her head. She started getting slight headache. She didn’t feel well and went to her internal medicine doctor that day, but the doctor had no idea why her brain was burning or why the lymph nodes were swollen in her neck. Marie continied not to feel well and she went to see two more internal medicine doctors, two eye doctors, and one chiropractor who was going to test her for mercury toxicity but later dismissed her because he thought her case was too complicated for him. She saw a neurologist who said that “burning of the brain” was not a symptom of multiple sclerosis. She saw a doctor of osteopathy. A couple of these doctors wanted her to go to a psychiatrist when she mentioned that she had felt something “invade” her brain.

Marie also called the emergency room to see if they could do a mercury test on her. After they found out that Marie thought she had been poisoned by mercury from my dental fillings, they told her that dental fillings could not poison her, and that they did not do testing for it.

A few days later, she let her dentist put the permanent crown on her tooth. By this time the metal taste was gone. The dentist told her that silver fillings were safe, and that we breathed more mercury in the air than what was in silver fillings. He told her nothing about mercury vapor coming from those fillings when a dentist drills into it.

Her health continued to go downhill. She was very dizzy, disoriented, and confused and things did not “look real”. She could hardly remember anything and started having emotional problems and was very angry.

She finally heard from a friend about an alternative doctor two hours from my home and made an appointment to go see him. The doctor realized her symptoms were caused by mercury, especially after she was able to put the dates together concerning her visits to the dentist and the symptoms appearing shortly after. He gave her a prescription for natural hormones that helped to begin thinking better. He gave her supplement packets that contained vitamins and minerals, fish oil, primrose oil, and probiotics that would put good bacteria in her stomach and build up immune system. Since mercury disrupts the enzymes in the GI tract, he gave her an amino acid dietary supplement powder containing glutamine and other bowel flora. He gave her a prescription of anti fungal medication because mercury causes an overgrowth of yeast in the body.

Mercury attacks the endocrine system, so it messes up your hormones and thyroid. According to her doctor thyroid tests are not even accurate when you have been exposed to mercury. Test results can all be normal, therefore traditional doctors will do nothing to help you. They either do not believe that you can be poisoned from dental fillings, or that it just happens to sensitive people.

After much prayer and research, Marie finally found a good biological dentist who took the mercury out of ten teeth. He replaced her fillings and crowns with dental materials that were shown by a Dental Compatibility test to be compatibile with my body and not cause an allergic reaction. This dentist told her he had seen other people in his office with mercury in their brains.

When her general dentist put the crown on the tooth, he placed it over top of a mercury filling that he had only partially removed. When her biological dentist removed the crown and the mercury filling under it, he told her there was decay underneath the mercury filling. Her biological dentist told her that a crown should never be placed over a mercury filling. That is why she was up all night tasting metal and sick on her stomach. The combination of metals (probably nickel) in the inferior grade of the porcelain crown was interacting with the mercury that the general dentist left in the tooth. The “patching” material that was placed on the tooth in TN dentist’s office also contributed to the reaction between the different materials. It caused a chemical and electrical reaction that made the tooth start decaying very fast. Thus large amounts of mercury started being released from the mercury filling underneath, and caused her to feel very sick.

After a year later Marie was still in the process of going through detoxification.

Don’t rush out and have your mercury fillings removed before doing research and getting educated about the dangers involved. If you allow a regular dentist to remove the fillings, you could be worse off than leaving the fillings in your mouth. The dentist should believe mercury is dangerous and toxic. An alternative source of air must be provided for the patient to breathe while the old fillings are drilled. Large amounts of water should to be used to cut down on the vapors being released. A dental dam, a piece of latex, should be placed in your mouth to catch the mercury particles as he is drilling it out. This will keep the mercury from falling under your tongue, where you might swallow it. A large high powered vacuum hose is used near the head of the patient to remove vapors while the mercury is being drilled out.

There may be mercury-free dentists in your city, but mercury-free does not mean he will safely remove existing mercury. Mercury free dentists simply do not add any new mercury to your teeth.
